About First UCC
A landmark since its completion in 1964, the First United Church of Christ in Hampton VA is located in the middle of what is commonly known as "Church Row." Situated on 4.7 acres, the 16,180 square foot Colonial design brick structure is easily recognizable for it 185 foot steeple. The sanctuary hosts our Traditional Workship Service,seats up to 300 plus choir and is equipped with a pipe organ, a parlor area, and baptismal well. Adjacent to the main sanctuary is Wallace Hall, a 4,000 square foot meeting room with stage and commerical grade kitchen. Wallace Hall hosts our Contemporary Worship Service, Conversational, Church Plays and Musicals. The Educational wings host upwards of 12 classrooms in a variety of shapes and sizes.

First United Church of Christ conducts two church services on Sunday. The first service is our contemporary service starting at 8:30 am. The second service is our traditional service startring at 11:00 am.
In addition to the aforementioned services, First UCC holds Sunday school for elementary through senior levels from 9:45 to 10:45.

From Suffolk: Take the James River Bridge into Hampton. Continue east on Mercury Blvd. (Route 258). Turn left (heading north) on Whealton Road. Turn left again at Todd's Lane. First UCC is on the right, after you pass Toppings Lane.
From Norfolk: Take I-64 into Hampton. Take exit 261, the Hampton Roads Center Parkway. Turn left onto Big Bethel Road. Go past Bethel High School. Turn right onto Todd's Lane. First UCC is on the right, after you pass Toppings Lane.
